They only have one pink kind of wine and red wine. Nice place for people that like ciders
Three of us went in the spur of the moment. I had been before but my friends had not. We all enjoyed some delicious cider and live music. It is beautifully decorated and the music was fun. People of all ages were enjoying a nice day out.
No real food, we did get some crackers/snacks, as you can bring your own food but great place to visit. I love ciders and I've had some of their bottled ciders previously. We did 2 flights so we tried 8 different ciders, from traditional to fruit flavored ones. I would absolutely recommend going and doing a flight! We didn't stay for a pint bc we were headed to other places but will definitely be going back. We rated them like when we do wine tastings... And, well our tastes generally are different!
Excellent cider on tap and bottle. Definitely liked lavender honey and mountain maelstrom ciders enough to buy a few bottles to go. No kitchen. convenience snack food available. Several people brought takeout food from outside. Several games to play with friends.
I had heard about Molly Chomper and was excited to visit on a recent camping trip. The location is awesome. It is comfortable and my 10yo was right at home playing chess. I enjoyed tasting some of the ciders. I prefer non sweet ciders and the complexity of the various offerings were great to taste. I will definitely be back.
Such a great stop off the beaten path and well worth the drive! We were staying in Boone for a few days, but took a scenic drive up to West Jefferson, and Molley Chomper was only a few minutes away. The cider was excellent! We sat outside by the firepit, and got to chat with a lovely couple from Louisiana. The atmosphere was relaxing and fun, and we enjoyed our time here.
Molly Chompers is one of those gems that only small town North Carolina can serve up. Local ingenuity married to the produce the surrounding land provides produces the sweetest and best offspring. As the name implies it is a cidery of the highest calibre I have ever run across. Bring a pizza from nearby Pie on the Mountain and you will treat yourself to the best destination food and drink experiences this world has to offer!
Some Great Hard Apple Cider. We have had almost all the flavors and they are all good. Go in to the tasting room and get a flight to try the different ones on tap. They frequently have new flavors on tap with different twist on old favorites as well. Great place to hang out. Updates to the draft room are nice. Larger outdoor area.
